 EASTERINGLE SERVICE

 This Wednesday at 6.30pm we celebrate our Easteringle    Service to which everyone is warmly invited.

This has over the years been a very lively, enjoyable and happy occasion.

The Service is enthusiastically led by our young people.  We look forward to sharing with them.

 Boxed Easter Eggs for everyone have been generously provided by Nicol Estate Agents.

 There will be hospitality following the Service, organised by Victoria Taylor, and as usual it will be superb.

I look forward to seeing you all.

 

 MID-WEEK SERVICE/WEDNESDAY BREAK: All are welcome to the short Service in the Church at 10.30am, followed by Coffee in the Columba Hall at 11am.

 CHURCH OF SCOTLAND STAMP APPEAL:  Many thanks to all of you who handed in used stamps, which have now been given to the Presbytery Office.  The 2023-2024 Appeal will support a project in Malawi which will improve agricultural productivity, create youth   employment and mitigate the impact of the climate crisis. As an outreach initiative this is so very worthwhile – so keep collecting sta

 

CORONATION AFTERNOON TEA

 

We are looking forward to celebrating the     Coronation of  King Charles III  on the            afternoon of Sunday 7th May  with a luxury Afternoon Tea.  Complimentary‘bubbly’ generously provided by Nicol Estate Agents.

 Adults £10 Children £5. 

Please note that tickets will only be available from Aileen in person to keep an accurate note  of numbers as places are limited.

DESIGN A CROWN:  We will be inviting young people in the      community to design a crown ‘fit for a King’.  The young folk are being invited to design an imaginative crown with a theme that means   something to them eg climate, recycling or whatever.  These will be displayed on Coronation Sunday at the Service and also at the      Coronation Afternoon Tea.   We look forward to displaying their    creations and there will be a prize for every entry.

 BROOM CRAFT GROUP:  The next meeting of the Group will be on Tuesday 21st March at 2pm in the Columba Hall.  All welcome.    Maureen Marshall. 

MTENDE COMMUNITY PROJECT:  As we continue to support Mtende, previously in the reforestation project, a new project has emerged in providing toilets for a school of 500 pupils.  Currently they only have two inadequate latrines.  Any monies given from now on will go towards their target of £3,500 for new and more adequate facilities.  They are applying for a grant of £2,000 leaving a £1,500 balance to raise.  Our small change can make a big change!

 LODGING HOUSE MISSION:   Please remember to keep            Lodging House Mission meal vouchers with you to hand to a homeless person needing a meal.  Vouchers are available in the vestibule and donations will be passed to the LHM.

 THE GLASGOW PHOENIX CHOIR presents ‘Scotland – A Land for all Seasons’ in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 29th April at 2.30pm.  Tickets £20 and £22.50,
