MARY’S MEALS RAGS TO RICHES COLLECTION

Mary’s Meals will be coming to Broom Church on Sunday 19th March to collect any  unwanted clothes, sheets, towels etc you may have. Those items which can be recycled will be sold or reused, but fabric of any quality (including shoes, bags and belts) will be gratefully received. These will help to provide one good meal, every school day, to over 1.1 million of the world’s poorest children. Please take this opportunity to have a good spring clean and bring your unwanted textiles to Church on the morning of the 19th March.......

Broom Church Newton Mearns member runs Amsterdam marathon

David Morgan wants to let the congregation know that he successfully completed the Amsterdam Marathon 2-16 in a time of 4 hours and 45 minutes. This was David’s first marathon and he was overwhelmed with the support shown to him by the congregation on Broom. With the impromptu retiral offering the week before the marathon, David raised a total of £281 in donations from the congregation for his chosen charity, Children with Camcer UK. In total David raised over £4000 for the charity and wished to thank everyone....
