Aids to Worship

The Big Screen

At Broom Church we have a full audio/visual system. This includes a retractable screen, camera, webcam and computer internet access along with a full audio system. This enables the congregation to network locally and globally, and enables the congregation to see what is happening at the front of the church eg Baptisms, Weddings, children’s talks.

The Choir
The choir

The choir are a group of enthusiastic people who enjoy singing. They rehearse on a Sunday after morning worship for special occasions such as Christmas and Easter. They would welcome any new members who would care to join them (no need to be able to read music).

On the left is a photograph of the choir taken on Sunday 31 May 2009, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Sanctuary.

The Scripture Readings

The readings at our services are undertaken by a faithful band of volunteers who are called upon approximately twice a year.

The Parish Secretary ensures that the readings are delivered prior to the Service giving plenty of time for rehearsal and familiarisation. Our readers support the Ministerial Team and are very much appreciated by the congregation. Many thanks to you all - you know who you are!

If you would like to join us give me a call or contact me through the Church Office, telephone 0141 639 3528 or by email.

The Church Flowers

Each week the flowers in the chancel are sent to members of the congregation to let them know that our thoughts are with them in times of illness or bereavement. The flowers are sponsored by individuals in the congregation and arranged by a willing band of volunteers.

If you would like to donate flowers or help to arrange them please contact me through the Church Office telephone 0141 639 3528 or email the flower convenor.

Linda Moir,

Flower Convenor.
